Broken Glass Effect using Luminar 4.2 by Gary McIntyre

Creating unusual effects for portraits or landscapes is fun in Luminar 4.2 and in this video I’m going to show you how to emulate a smashed glass effect using a combination of image layers and blending modes PLUS there is a few more image effects after the initial example. The files used in the video are available for you to download free below. There are 18 files (templates) in total for you to try out and have fun with in your images.

The dispersion effect in photoshop is an effect I really like so I wanted to create something in Luminar that gave a similar effect and that’s what I enjoy about trying different software, the challenge of learning new things and new ways to do things.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial as it’s a good way of thinking about blending layers and how they interact with each other. – Gary McIntyre
